半途而废 (半途而廢)

to give up halfway; leave something unfinished

Example:

改革必须坚持到底, 不能半途而废。
Gǎigé bìxū jiānchí dàodǐ, bù néng bàntú’érfèi.
Reforms must be carried through to the end and not abandoned halfway.

做事决不能半途而废。
zuòshì juébù néng bàntú’érfèi.
Never do anything by halves.
